What We Believe

We are simple Bible-believing Christians and are in essential harmony with the Christian faith of the ages.  We believe that the redemption through Christ provides all people salvation from sin.
The distinctive Nazarene tenet is the doctrine of entire sanctification or Christian perfection. The church teaches the Christian’s heart can be cleansed from sin and perfected in God’s love by the infilling of the Holy Spirit. It stresses the importance of a holy life and of a positive Christian witness before the world.
We practice water baptism and observe the Lord’s Supper, the two sacraments instituted by Christ. We study the Scriptures, pray, worship, fellowship together, and share Christ with others.
We believe:
  •  God is Three in One; that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the Three Persons of the Godhead.
  • The Bible is divinely inspired and contains all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
  •  Humans are created good but are born with a sinful nature, and are therefore, inclined to evil.
  •  That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and whoever repents and believes in His name is saved from the dominion of sin.
  •  Believers are to be sanctified wholly through faith in the Lord.
  • ¨ The Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
  • ¨ In the church, the Body of Christ, and in its mission, which can be summed up in the Great Commandment (to love the Lord and one another) and the Great Commission (to go and make disciples).
  • ¨ That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
  • ¨ In divine healing and urge our people to seek to offer the prayer of faith for the healing of the sick.  We also believe God heals through the means of  medical science.
